Making a Request

You can enter a general search term or select a folder to browse for a specific document.  If you are unable to locate a document, you can submit a public records request to the City Clerk's office, as outlined below.

What can be requested?
  • City documents and information
  • Certain information may be deemed “not public information” and therefore is not available such as personnel information
  • Exclusions will be determined by management and legal counsel

How can I make a request?

  • You may submit a written request detailing the documents you wish to see
    • A form is available at City offices
  • You may verbally request documents
    • A Customer Service Coordinator will put the request in writing for you
    • We ask that you verify that it is what you are asking for
    • The request will be submitted and you will be notified within 10 days
  • Over the Counter requests may be made if the information is readily available
    • If you would like copies you can request them at that time for a cost
    • The cost is 25 cents per page for black and white copies up to 11x17
    • If the items you request are voluminous, we ask that you make an appointment for viewing so that we may have time to gather the requested information

What is the process?

  • All public records requests are date stamped upon receipt
  • The City has 10 calendar days to respond to the requester, in writing, as to how the request will be fulfilled and/or request:
    • Request a deposit;
    • Request additional time;
    • Explain that information is not on file or is not “public information”
  • Once the deposit is received, the requester will be notified, in writing, that the documents are available for pick-up
    • The City does not make copies without first receiving a deposit
