Economic Development
The purpose of the Economic Development Department is to enhance the quality of life in Beaumont through job retention and creation efforts. The department uses the city's general plan and development code as a guideline for the development of programs which meet the community's current and future needs.

Programs & Functions
  • Retain current and recruit potential employers to the City of Beaumont.
  • Ensure that development in the community produces the maximum benefit to the city and its citizens.
  • Ensure that commercial and industrial uses and related developments enhance the quality of life and provide a stable economic base for the community.
